2012 should be quite a year for sports, especially with the Olympic Summer games taking place in London beginning in July.

So be sure to continue to check back for our weekly posts.

Let’s dive right into some of the betting odds on the 2012 Olympics available at Bovada Sportsbook.

For now, the odds are pretty basic, with some of the notable countries projected to win the medal count installed with over/under totals on Gold medals.

The United States leads the way! But it’s not far in front of China.

The over/under Gold medal count for the USA has been set at 38.5, with both side of the line going off at -120.

The United States won 36 gold medals in the 2008 games in Beijing.

It’s a pretty impressive, but when looking at China’s total number of 51 gold medals, the home country really out-performed everyone else.

The United States won in the total medal count, winning 110 medals compared to China’s 100.

And it looks like oddsmakers expect these two countries to go head-to-head for the gold medal and likely the total medal count when those betting odds come out.

Russia, Great Britain, Australia, and Germany round out the other countries installed with odds available on Bovada’s Other Sports Page, under Olympics.
